How we’re organising

Democratic Prospects meet at least every 2 months.

We have an elected Steering Group, responsible for arranging meetings. Any member of the group can volunteer to be part of the Steering Group at a meeting, and will be accepted onto the Steering Group by a simple majority vote of members in attendance at the meeting.

Any members will be able to submit business to be included on the agenda of the next meeting. All meetings will also have time for Any Other Business that members wish to raise.

We make decisions on written proposals by simple majority vote in meetings, after deliberative discussion on the business at hand.

We will host a fringe event at the next Prospect National Conference. We will also try to build the group at other Prospect events, by sharing our platform and recruiting new members.

We will agree upon a general code of conduct for how members interact with each other and the wider union.
